Ron Raymond and his crew cleaned and prepared the courts. Twenty (20) shufflers showed up to shuffle on this sunny balmy morning. Only Phil Wade won all four of his matches. See you all next week for more fun and games. Ciao!

Please Be Aware! Everyone who is using the Cue House and the courts, please be careful about closing and locking the building. Monday Afternoon, July 3rd and once again Tuesday, July 4th, the doors were left unlocked. If you do not know how to care for the discs, the courts and the cue house, please ask one of the regular players. This is very important, especially when we have our new discs in the cue house. Your attention to this problem is appreciated.
This morning dawned sunny, hot and muggy but we still had twenty-two (22) ardent shufflers show up. Ron Raymond and his crew cleaned and prepared the courts before play began. Ron had us play two courts with round-robins. Congratulations to Jan Dally and Darrel Harman for winning all four of their matches. See you next week for another invigorating game.
Al Best, on behalf of the CMS Club, would like to thank Wayne Lockwood for donating our brand new discs. They have finally arrived! Now we need to get them painted with the identifying dots and wait till we can clean and wax our courts before we use them. We would not want to ruin the discs first thing by using them on dirty courts. We will also need to remember not to slide them on the concrete red edging or out of bounds area. We will need to pick them up and replace them back on the courts during play instead of sliding them on. Once Allen gets back we will begin the job of getting everything prepared. Once again thanks to Wayne and thank you all for your patience. For any further questions and/or concerns, please contact Al Best.
Ron Raymond and his crew dried, swept and prepared the courts for the morning play. We had twenty -three (23) earnest shufflers arrived to challenge each other for kudos. Instead of the normal two people playing with a pusher when we have a bye, Ron set up the court as a Round Robin playing 16 frames. After four games, we had only one shuffler who won all four of their matches. Kudos to Mary Ann Pabst for winning all four of her matches this week. See you next week for another challenge. Are you up to winning all four of your matches? Ciao!
On Friday, June 16th, fifteen(15) hungry shufflers arrived through the pouring rain at 5:00 pm to enjoy good friends and tasty food. We set up tables and prepared the soft drinks, spoke of friends we had lost and those we were missing. The party was small but most enjoyable. Some folks stayed to play Bunco and others said adieu. See you next month for more tasty food and friendship. Ciao!
Today was a beautiful day for shuffling. Ron and his crew cleared the courts for play and nineteen (19) shufflers showed up to meet the challenge. Once again, no one was able to win all four of their matches. I guess we will have to wait until next week to see how many shufflers will be able to rise above the rest and win all four(4) of their matches. See you next week. Ciao!
Thanks to Dennis for supplying the score board picture.
I have been getting emails that sympathy cards being sent to Elizabeth Sharman which were addressed to just 601 N. Atlantic Avenue, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169 were being sent back. Please make sure you add the apartment #301 to the address. Thank you.
Just a reminder that this Friday, June 16th, is the June Pot Luck Dinner. Doors open at 5pm for socializing and hall set up. Please sign up in the cue house so we have a general idea of how many people can attend. Remember to bring your cups, plates, silverware and any beverage you would like other than tea or lemonade. Hope to see you there.
I ran into Elizabeth Sharman and her children Sunday morning and she wanted me to thank everyone for all their prayers and good wishes. She also wanted to thank the CM Shuffleboard Club for helping to make Ben’s retirement years so enjoyable. Please see attached obituary for Ben.
