The Coronado/Mainland Shuffler

This is a reminder about our Pot Luck Dinner for, Friday evening, September 16th. Don’t forget to sign up in the Cue House so we have a count of how many will attend. Please come at 5:00 pm for social time while we set up. Dinner at 5:30 pm. This is a BYO. bring your own plates, cups and silverware and if you want anything stronger than tea and lemonade, that too is BYO. Hope to see y’all there for loads of good food (everyone brings something to share) and camaraderie. For more socializing and a challenge, Bunco will be played following the dinner. Ciao!

They will be white tee shirts with the large picture on the back and the small picture on the front left on the shirt (pocket area).  We need your comments on what we want by the 15th.  Thanks for your input.

We have been working on designs for the Anniversary Celebration shirt and we thought you might like to comment. The large design would be for the back and the small design would go where a pocket would go. These will be on white tee shirts. Please leave your comments.  Bottom two pictures.

So Sigrid suggested that I fix the small one for the pocket.  I cleaned it up some more. How does this look?

This morning, despite the potential hurricane fringe effect, we still had Twelve (12) devoted shufflers show up for our Thursday Morning Four-Play matches. Ron Raymond oversaw the court prep to squeegee, dry and bead the courts for the morning matches. Only Bob Tager won all Four of his matches. Bien hecho! We welcome any and all shufflers to participate in next week’s match play. Hasta luego!

We are down at the courts…8:25 am, looks like the weather will hold, come on down!

Another RAINOUT – It looked ominous when we arrived but seven (7) staunch shufflers still showed up, cleaned the courts, beaded and got ready to play. We managed to start a friendly match but the black clouds rolled over and unloaded on us. The rain was not going to stop, so we gave in to the elements and went home……until next time! Adios!

At 9:00 this morning, eleven (11) committed members showed up to express their ideas for our 80th Anniversary Celebration, chaired by Allen Best. It was decided to have our Annual Banquet Celebration on Thursday Night, March 23rd 2017 so that our Snow Birds will be able to join us before they depart to go back up north. A Banquet barbecue is in the making with pulled pork, chicken, several sides and an 80th Anniversary Celebration Flat Cake that will be supplied by Loretta Cantalupo.
Our Open To the Public Celebration will be held on March 4th in the form of a Fun Day in order to introduce shuffleboard to the public at large. We have Anniversary Tee Shirts in the planning/designing stage that will be made available for sale. Also, new CMS Club signage is in the making. We will keep you informed of any further developments. Ciao!

Today’s Thursday Morning Four-Play matches, overseen by Ron Raymond, attracted Twenty (20) committed shufflers who showed up for a friendly shuffling competition on a balmy August morning. This week we had four, Four Match Winners; Tom Rimmer, Phil Wade, Zak Wonson and Darrel Harman. Well done! We welcome any and all shufflers to participate in next week’s match play. Hasta luego!
