This morning Ron Raymond and his crew cleaned up the courts and prepared them for the Thursday Morning Four-Play shufflers. We had Thirty-Two (32) players show up to meet the challenge. We drew partners and courts and played four games with a new partner and court each game. After the winners had checked the board we had three shufflers who won all four of their games: Phil Wade, Edna Triplett and Charlie Jones. Next week we hope to see you there. Ciao!

As part of the social aspect of the shuffleboard summer programs, Bob and Dinah Stock will be hosting the Summer Euchre games beginning on Wed., May 3rd. They will play at 2:00 pm at 1999 Turnbull Lakes Drive, New Smyrna Beach. Thursday Morning Four-Play started out with a few shufflers at 8:40 am and ended up with Thirty-Four (34) by 9:00 am. Ron Raymond and Tom Rimmer had the courts all swept and beaded ready to rock and roll. Phil Wade was the only player to achieve four wins. Congratulations to all the players and we look forward to seeing you next Thursday.

The CMS Club’s last seasonal (2016/2017) Fun Day began with Marguerite and her kitchen crew doing a great job of setting up the drinks, hot dogs, potato chips and pastries. Rich and his crew had already done terrific job (as usual) setting up all the Fun Day obstacles among our twenty courts. Joan collected for the 50/50 draw while Rich collected the $1 registration fee. Allen Best called the group to order after we socialized for a bit and munched on some food. Randy drew the winning 50/50 ticket which was won by Joan Best.
Allen then announced the team Captains and set out the plastic chips used to assign the Fun Day team members to their courts. Thirty-four (34) ardent club shufflers joined in the fun to overcome the wacky obstacles in-order to score as many points as possible for their team.We missed quite a few of our club members who had already gone back up North for the summer.
When the teams had completed playing all 20 courts, we all convened to the club house for more socializing and munching while Bonnie Radke totaled the score sheets and verified their accuracy. Then Allen began to announce the winners and hand out the winnings.
The Top Winning Team was Marguerite, Mouse, Jane and Randy with a high score of 1240. The Second Team was Bonnie, Dennis (did not stay for photo-op), Mona and Honey with a score of 1220. The Third Team was Joan, Jean, Bob Tager and Ghost with a score of 1200. The Lowest Scoring Team was Rich, Paul, Fay and Don with a score of 840.
All in all it was a fun day with many of our very new and old members trying to overcome the wacky shuffleboard challenges. Once again we must thank Allen and our Volunteers for enabling us to have a FUN DAY! Please come back and join us next Fall for more fun and games. Ciao!

Twenty-Seven (27) lighthearted members and guests of the CM Shuffleboard Club got together to enjoy our monthly Pot Luck Dinner, which included some of our Mahjong Social Members. After Joan Best collected for the 50/50 drawing during the initial social hour, Allen selected a new member to draw the winning ticket. Honey Donnelly, one of our newer members, won the pot. Joan Best then lead us in a prayer before we lined up to enjoy the bountiful, tasty food everyone had brought to share. After an enjoyable meal, we cleaned up, put the tables and chairs away and then some of the members retired to the club room for an enjoyable game of Bunco. A great time, on a beautiful night was enjoyed by all. See y’all next time.

Another day in paradise drew 35 enthusiastic shufflers for the Thursday Morning Four Play challenge. Ron Raymond, Tom Rimmer and Honey (with the red nose) had arrived early to start prepping the courts. John Holder coaxed one of our local roosters off the courts before the matches commenced. The following four shufflers won all four of their matches; Darrel Harman, Mouse Wolven, Dennis Buelk and John Giumarra (from Deland). Congratulations to all the participants for making this a fun day to play shuffleboard. Looking forward to seeing most of y’all next Thursday for a rematch!

Ron Raymond, Tom Rimmer and Honey Donnelly (Hope you feel better soon) were up early to sweep, clean and prep the courts for this morning’s Four-Play matches. Thirty-Two (32) ebullient shufflers showed up to challenge each other for bragging rights in a friendly game of shuffleboard. Each shuffler plays four different matches against opponents chosen by a draw.
Three (3) shufflers were able to win all four of their matches today. Walt Vilk, Bonnie Radke and Mouse Wolven. Congratulations to all the players. Hope to see you next week.

We have changed the schedule for the Pot Luck Dinner. It has been changed from this Friday to Friday, April 21st at 5:00pm.
Fun Day will still be held on Saturday, April 22nd, starting at noon with hot dogs, chips and a drink. Please sign up on the sheets posted in the cue house for the Pot Luck so we can plan on how many tables and what food we will be enjoying and on the Fun Day sheet so we know how many hot dogs to purchase. Mark your calendars and see you there!
We were greeted by the local NSB rooster before the start of our Thursday Morning Four Play. Today it stopped raining at 7:30 am. We dried off the courts and welcomed the twelve (12) enthusiastic shufflers who showed-up for the matches which started on time at 9 am. We each played four matches. Dennis Buelk was the only shuffler who managed to win all four of his games. Come join us next Thursday for fun and games. See you then!
