Just a Reminder that we have Singles Mingles tomorrow 12/12. Please be there no later than 8:30 am so we can get everyone registered and our entry fees paid. Play begins at 9:00 am. The Northern District, Pro Doubles and Amateur Doubles Tournament was held at the CMS Shuffleboard courts, December 7th and 8th.  Rich Kordeleski and John Fortini came early  to set up the courts and the rest of the volunteer team joined them to do a fantastic job of getting the courts ready for play and supporting the players during the tournament. Donna King was the director for this tournament and CMS Club was the sponsor. Candy led the kitchen crew getting the donuts, coffee, tables and snacks ready for the shufflers.  Carol Finta brought her wonderful cookies for our enjoyment.  Johnnie and Betty did a great job decorating the Hall.  Rose Sargent won the 50/50 drawing.  We would like to THANK ALL OF OUR WONDERFUL VOLUNTEERS.  So many people working so hard to make this tournament a success.  Congratulations to all the shufflers who participated in our tournament.

Northern District Tournament Pro Doubles and Amateur Doubles will take place Thursday and Friday, Dec 7/8th. There will be no regular play on those two days. We still need volunteers to help support the tournament. Hope to see you there for club support. Come cheer us on!

I have been asked to post some information on our Intercity Competitions for some of our newer members. The CMS Club has three teams competing every Wednesday throughout the Winter season. We compete against Deland, Orange City and Ormond Beach. Our Teams are Red, White and Blue. If you are interested in participating next year you can contact one of our team captains. Rich Kordeleski manages the White team, Mary Ann Pabst manages the Blue team and Al Bessette manages our Red team.  We start at 12:00 noon (court assignments and snacks) on Wednesdays and start (at 1:00 pm) three matches for each team to 75 points.  The scores are recorded and at the end of the season the teams have a Play-off based on their winning averages.  This is the schedule for this year.

Joseph C. “Joey” Shebester 1952 – 2017

Joe Shebester – passed away at home November 29,2017. Survived by his devoted and loving wife Gerda Jodi, her children Richelle (Bryan) Kovener, Elise (Brad) Watkins, Wes (Angie) Hartley, six grandchildren, sister Carol Winn. The Northern District’s Any Doubles Tournament took place in Orange City on Nov 30th/Dec 1st. There were 26 teams. Congratulations to all the Shufflers from Coronado Mainland who participated. A SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Dennis Buelk and Tom Rimmer who placed Third in the Main Event.

I am sorry to say that due to lack of sign up and Christmas events we have cancelled the December Fun Day.  We will also be rescheduling the January Fun Day to the 20th.

We have our Christmas Pot Luck Dinner Scheduled for Friday, December 15th.  Very few people signed up for this event. We need to know how many people will be attending so that the club can order the Ham and Turkey they will be supplying. Please sign up in the Clubhouse and let us know what you are bringing.   Thanks for your attention to this matter.  Come help make our Christmas Merry.

We currently have the Northern District Tournament Scheduled for Dec 7th and 8th at the CMS Shuffleboard Courts.   So far we have very few Volunteers signed up to assist with this tournament. The CMS club shufflers competing in this tournament are not permitted to handle the discs and/or work on the courts during the tournament.  If you are not competing, please consider volunteering your time to help us out during this tournament.   Volunteer sign up sheets are available in the club house.

Saturday, December 2nd is our Executive Board Meeting at 10:00 am to be followed by the General Board Meeting at 11:00. Mary Harlow will be leading the Scoring Challenge starting at 12:00 noon.

Please try your best to attend as we have assigned an Election Committee to help find members who would like to volunteer for the Executive Board. They will be reporting on their findings.  There are many positions that need to be filled, including President and Treasurer.  We also use these meetings to set up our events for the year.  Everyone is invited to attend.  Hope to see you there.
