A good crowd showed up for the fun – 9 Pros and 7 AMs, so on one court two pros played against each other with a “Bye” AM as a pusher. The top 3 Am finishers were Tom Carbonell, Bob Stock, Jerry Jabaut (Picture does not have Tom) and the top Pros were Edna Triplett, Phil Wade and Bill Boyes (pictured below).

Carl Miller was one of our Pros who was a lifetime member and had been a member since 1993.
I am Karen Hulbert, Carl Miller’s daughter. I just wanted to let you know that Carl has passed away. He enjoyed the times he spent on the court and all of the friends he met. I guess you can remove him from your mailing list.
Arlene just sent me a note about the State Any Amateur Doubles Tournament in Leesburg, Feb 17th. We don’t have the full results, but CONGRATULATIONS to our declared members. Jerry Jabaut and Joe Inga took 1st in the Main, Chris Inga and Arlene Jabaut took 3rd in Consolation.

John Fortini, Mike Beall, Tom Carbonell And Dennis Buelk set Up the courts for our Fun Day Challenge. Barb Fortini registered everyone and collected their entry fee. Jane Tager, Candy Kordeleski and Kathleen Kasben managed the food. We had Fifty-Two players/thirteen teams, four in each team. When we had all finished the games, we all came inside for hotdogs, chips, drinks and desserts. Bob Bean won the 50/50 pot. Al started calling out the winners from first to the last. Congratulations to all the the participants..

Happy Valentine’s Day. Johnnie Conners did a beautiful job decorating the hall for our February Pot Luck Dinner. We had Twenty-Three (23) members come for our dinner and everyone brought wonderful dishes to share. Candy and Tom Carbonell were helping set up the kitchen while everyone got settled at the tables. Tom had us say a silent prayer for those who could not be with us and then we lined up to get our food. It was a very quiet group that celebrated Valentines Day together. We did not have enough people for Bunko and we left the tables and chairs for Fun Day on Saturday. Hope to see you all back here next month for the Annual End of Season Banquet on March 25th. Ciao!
