PRE-TOURNAMENT CLEAN-UP – 10/18/17

This drizzly morning our crew arrived to gather up and remove wet accumulated and scattered leaves as best we could before tomorrow’s ND Tournament.

Mary McConnell cleaned the chalk boards. Cindy, Candy and Mary set up the tables and chairs in the Club House while Zak, Bonnie, Randy and Rich pushed a lot of leaves and water around the courts and benches. Al and Joan Best arrived to finish up tweaking the clubhouse before Johnnie Conner and Betty Buccini come by later on to decorate.

We give a big THANK YOU to those members who helped out during this morning’s inclement weather. Ciao!

Rich, Candy, Mary, Bonnie, Cindy and Zak

The Passing of Elsie Boning

Bob Finta noted that in this morning’s paper Elsie Boning, aged 94, had passed away on Monday.   She was 94 and a long time member of the Coronado Shuffleboard Club. She was a tireless worker in the kitchen and a regular player until arthritis in her shoulder prevented her from playing. She always had a smile and a pleasant word. Rest in Peace, Elsie.
