Zak, Jerry and Mike have been working hard to clean and sterilize the courts and cue house. Today Zak and Jerry were cleaning discs and tomorrow Mike will be washing everything down with clorox. We will let you know when we can start coming to play. No Chips just pick up games with friends. No one allowed in the Cue House except a designated person. All will be explained shortly. Stay tuned. We also took a picture of one of the new chickens. They all seem to be healthy.
New Sign on the back, “Adopt A Park” shows that Lisa Martin has adopted our park. Thank You Lisa.
Adopt-a-Park Program
From small, one-acre pocket parks to larger waterfront public areas with playgrounds, individuals and groups may sign up to clean up a park for one year.
Adoptive park parents must commit to clean up activities at least monthly and participate, as available, in special projects such as landscaping. Picking up litter, pulling weeds, spreading mulch, planting foliage and notifying the City of needed maintenance are typical park duties that would be conducted by volunteers.
Adoptive groups will be recognized on park signage. The City will supply needed tools, equipment and materials for projects.
For more information on the program, please call (386) 424-2202 or email the Maintenance Operations Department.
