Friday night we had our June Pot Luck Dinner. Thanks to Tom Carbonell (President) for setting up the tables on Thursday. The usual set up crew came in early to decorate the tables and make the iced tea/lemonade. Club members began arriving around 5:00 pm with their delectable goodies such as Tom Carbonell’s pork loin, chicken, desserts, salads, baked beans, sweet potatoes and more.
We had approximately Twenty-Three (23) people attending. Tom Carbonell announced that it was George Karras’s birthday and we all wished George a Happy Birthday. Tom also announced that the courts will be refinished sometime the end of July or beginning of August, depending on the weather. Joan Best collected for the 50/50 and Bonnie pulled the winning ticket. Congratulations to Cathy Kennedy for winning the 50/50 pot. Joan then led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and a mealtime prayer. We all lined up to enjoy the sumptuous meal. When dinner and socializing was done, we all cleared the tables and chairs. Not enough people were able to stay for Bunco.
