February Fun Day – 2/11/17

February’s Fun Day began, as usual, with Marguerite and her kitchen crew doing a fantastic job of setting up the coffee, drinks, donuts, hot dogs, and chips while Paul’s crew set up the tables while Johnnie decorated the hall.  Rich and his crew set up all the obstacles on twenty courts. Joan collected the 50/50 and Barb Fortini collected the $1 registration fee while registering all the shufflers.  Allen Best called the group to order and gave an updated report on Bill, Penny Boyes and Wayne Lockwood followed by a silent prayer.  Allen announced the team captains and handed out the chips used to select the Fun Day teams.  Forty-Five (45) enthusiastic club shufflers joined in the fun to overcome the amusing obstacles in-order to score as many points as possible. Then the games began.

When all the teams had completed the 20 courts of obstacles, we all convened to the club house for more socializing while Barb Fortini totaled the score sheets (one bizarre) and verified their accuracy.  Barb Fortini drew the 50/50 ticket that our new member John Peed won.  Then Allen began to announce the winners and hand out the prize money.

The Top Winning Team was Joan Best, Rex, Jane and Guy with a high score of 1300.  The Second Team was Barb Fortini, Bonnie, Jim and Floyd with a score of 1160.  The Third Team was Candy, Loretta, Harry (did not stay for picture) and Bob Tager with a score of 1100.

Rex Galusha had the Highest Individual Score of 380, followed by a three-way tie, with a score of 350, between Guy Godman, Mary McConnell and Bonnie Radke. All in all, it was a fun day with many of our very new members enjoying the challenge.  Once again we must thank Our Volunteers for without them, we would not be able to have this much fun!   Please come back and join us for next month’s FUN DAY.
