Today a video filming team came to our courts and filmed an ad for the Rue Ziffre Law Firm. Here are some pictures from the event. We might be seeing a television ad with our courts in the background.

We are pleased to announce that we will be having several Player Improvement Clinics for everyone. There is a sign up sheet in the Cue House. January 14th and February 17th from 1:30 pm till 4 pm. are the dates so mark your calendars.

We are excited to announce our first Pot Luck of the season to welcome all our snow birds back on January 20th at 5:00 pm. There is a sign up sheet in the club house to list who is coming and what food you should bring to share. Remember to bring your cups, plates and silverware for the dinner. We will provide coffee and tea as well as a donated turkey and ham. As always if you wish to BYO you are more than welcome to do so.

As this is a Tuesday night there will also be shuffleboard to follow at 6:30 pm.

Please Note that the CMS shuffleboard Courts will be closed for the morning shuffleboard session on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. There will be a production company making and television advertising film for the Rue Ziffre Law Firm. They will be using our courts as the backdrop for this film and for our inconvenience they will be giving our club a sizable donation. We are excited to see the outcome of this film.

Evening play will still be available at 6:30 pm on Tuesday.

On January 8, Tavares will have its first Tournament of the year, ND13 Pro/Am draw. This will be the first Competition on our newly resurfaced courts which are great.The cleaning and resurfacing was completely done by members Rod Lewis, Walt Bartels, Al Dronsfield, Guy Furlong, Clark Silvers, and Jim. It took quite a few days to put the courts back into excellent shape.

We hope that many players will join us on the 8th for some exciting competition.

Just a quick reminder that this Saturday January 3 rd is our next General Board Meeting. The Executive Board will meet at 9:00 with General Board meeting at 10:00 with shuffling to follow. We will be electing our new board members for the 2026/2027 season. Also discussing our events for the coming year. Hope to see you all there.
