The Coronado/Mainland Shuffler

We are excited to announce our first Pot Luck of the season to welcome all our snow birds back on January 20th at 5:00 pm. There is a sign up sheet in the club house to list who is coming and what food you should bring to share. Remember to bring your cups, plates and silverware for the dinner. We will provide coffee and tea as well as a donated turkey and ham. As always if you wish to BYO you are more than welcome to do so.

As this is a Tuesday night there will also be shuffleboard to follow at 6:30 pm.

Please Note that the CMS shuffleboard Courts will be closed for the morning shuffleboard session on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. There will be a production company making and television advertising film for the Rue Ziffre Law Firm. They will be using our courts as the backdrop for this film and for our inconvenience they will be giving our club a sizable donation. We are excited to see the outcome of this film.

Evening play will still be available at 6:30 pm on Tuesday.

On January 8, Tavares will have its first Tournament of the year, ND13 Pro/Am draw. This will be the first Competition on our newly resurfaced courts which are great.The cleaning and resurfacing was completely done by members Rod Lewis, Walt Bartels, Al Dronsfield, Guy Furlong, Clark Silvers, and Jim. It took quite a few days to put the courts back into excellent shape.

We hope that many players will join us on the 8th for some exciting competition.

Just a quick reminder that this Saturday January 3 rd is our next General Board Meeting. The Executive Board will meet at 9:00 with General Board meeting at 10:00 with shuffling to follow. We will be electing our new board members for the 2026/2027 season. Also discussing our events for the coming year. Hope to see you all there.

We will be having our 2^nd annual euchre tournament on Jan 14^th at the NSB Cultural Center on 1000 live Oak Ave. Behind the library. 

The tournament will start at 5:00pm Wed, Jan 14th. All who are interested and play euchre are invited. There will be a 5 dollar entrance fee with all money to be paid out in winnings, There is additional money included from donations and other items. With thanks to Coronado-Mainland Shuffleboard club for their donation and thanks to others as well. Come prepared for fun and games and bring your best euchre face or game with you. Last years turnout was 16 people and we are looking for more this year. Thanks, Tim Pergrem

The Holiday RV Shuffleboard Club hosted the ND12 Any Amateur Draw tournament on 12/15/25. The Director was Steve Clark and the sponsors were Clean as a Shistle, Hampton Auto Repair, All Florida Weatherproofing, A&B Soft Wash, Beef O’Brady’s, The Bishops and the Borings. The Deland Shuffleboard Club hosted the ND11 No Two Pros Tournament on Dec 11, 2025. Chris Inga was our Director and the sponsors were the Deland Shuffleboard Club, Chris and Joe Inga and Joe Constantine. We are celebrating the fact that Connie Hakes and Tony Angelo made their points to become Pros in October 2026. This was a very hard competition and congratulations goes out to all our shufflers.
