The Deland Shuffleboard Club hosted the ND22 Mixed Doubles Tournament on 2/22, 2/23/24. The weather was a bit chilly to start but remained clear throughout. The Deland Shuffleboard Club was the host and Richie Burrell was the Director. Bonnie announced that we are still looking for pusher volunteers for the Masters Tournament and that we still have several people looking for partners for the next two tournaments. The Mid Florida Lakes Shuffleboard Club hosted the ND21 Mixed Doubles Tournament on Feb 15,16, 2024. The Ceramics Club held a bake sale both days and the Lunch By the Pool Committee grilled lunch for the players. They enjoyed beautiful weather both days. The Sponsors were: Suter AC, Mid Florida Lakes HOA, All Florida Roofing, Country Roads Deli, Steve Clark and Keith Holbrook. Rod Lewis was the Director.

One of our members at MFL is collecting non-perishable food items for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. I know it is not a lot of notice but we will be collecting at our tournament Thursday. Something is better than nothing and MFL will be collecting from around our community to aid in this cause as well.

The Deland Shuffleboard Club hosted the ND20 Any Doubles Tournament on 2/8,9/24. the weather was perfect and the courts were in beautiful condition. Richie and Caroline Burrell were the Directors and the Deland Shuffleboard Club and Central Florida Eye Specialists were the sponsors. There was a really good turn out for the challenge with 26 teams signing up.

Joe Inga presented the Trophy to the winners of the State Red Line A11 Any Amateur Doubles tournament. Congratulations to Brad Simons and Steve Clark. Congratulations to all the shufflers who came to play.
